State police troopers responded to the wreck in Aberdeen Township at around 7:25 a.m., New Jersey State Police said. It happened southbound on the parkway near milepost 120.1.
Investigators said seven vehicles collided while trying to merge because the left lane was closed for construction.
Troopers said there were several minor injuries reported in the crash. Some people were taken to a hospital to be evaluated.
The crash remains under investigation.
